Designed not to make grading easier, rubrics have long been identified as a powerful tool teachers can use to provide meaningful feedback to learners. Be careful though: not all rubrics are made the same! This workshop will explore and use several proficiency inspired rubrics that allow teachers to implement performance-based assessments and provide students with what they need and want the most: timely and personalized feedback that will help them grow as language learners.
